Wahoo! I Won!

Not once but twice! Yeah! I entered two contests and placed in both of them! It was so much fun. So much fun to enter and so much fun to win!
The first contest I entered was at The Social Arrow on Social Media Marketing. To qualify for the contest, I had to write a post about what “Social Media” I used, why I liked it and what response I received from it.
My post Social Media - What Difference Does It Make? talks mainly about Twitter.
Prizes were as follows:

# Third Place Wins: 5,000EC, Permanent Link on Contest Winner’s Acknowledgment
# Fourth Place to Eighth Place Wins: 1,000EC, Permanent Link on Contest Winner’s Acknowledgment
# All Entries receive a Permanent Link on Contest Winner’s Acknowledgment
The drawing was random and I was picked as the 7th place winner so I received a prize of 1000 ec. I am spending them very wisely and cautiously!
The second contest I entered was at “Successful and Outstanding Bloggers” by Liz Strauss entitled “That Brand New Blogging Feeling”. In this contest, Liz was looking for bloggers to try and capture in a picture what it felt like when you first started your blog.
I still have that feeling! Of course, my blog is still new so maybe I should still have that “new” feeling. My blog is only a few months old.
The requirement for Liz’s contest was to submit a photo that described “that brand new blogging feeling” along with a caption that described the photo. She picked the first 50 entries and created a slide show displaying the winners. She is so creative! There are some very interesting photos and captions.
EVERYONE was a winner! Everyone that entered the contest won a copy of Liz’s eBook - The Secret to Writing a Successful and Outstanding Blog! as well as a free premium web design from Studiowordpress Edge. What a great contest - Thank you!
Participating in these contests was so much fun that I am going to think about sponsoring a contest here on BloggerNewbie. I’ll give it some thought and post about the requirements and prizes. What contests have you entered? What prizes have been offered? What kinds of prizes would you like to see? Do you like contests? Do you think you benefit from contests even if you don’t win?
