Where Have You Been? Good question. I have been working on my server! I am in the process of changing web hosts. So easy a caveman an do it! This is totally ridiculous. I had so many different titles for this post, I couldn’t choose. There is no reason this process needs to be so difficult.
“Web hosting solutions, services are designed for both beginners and professionals, all plans include a 99.9% uptime guarantee, possible intermittent down time in the first 24-48 hours.” How about being completely down for 40 plus hours! Then, after at least 10 different contacts with the new host, a customer service representative told me to change my DNS back to the original until they do a few behind the scenes processes. That would have been useful information 40 hours ago.
I wonder if detailed directions would make a difference? Hmmm. That’s a good idea?!
Good plan. Sounds like a post to me. As soon 
as I complete the process I will definitely write a step by step “How to” in relation to changing servers. I will have plenty of “do’s” and “don’ts” to follow.
Most people told me the process was easy. I have a little techy experience. I’ve only been on computers and the internet for 20 plus years. You know – “it’s not gonna happen to me! I know what I’m doing!” he he he. Every time I think I know a little something about computers or the internet I find out in short order that what I do know – isn’t as much as I think!
I still can’t believe the lack of directions. Not really that amusing. Pet peeve #323! I have a list of pet peeves that will make your hair curl. So much to do – so little time. How about a pet peeve category?
I have my notebook full of notes on different posts to write that I haven’t been able to put to the keyboard because of my “technical difficulties.” Stay tuned and check back tomorrow for further updates.

Sorry you had such a hard time. I have changed hosting companies for myself and other people with nooo problem. Now changing the registrar for a domain name made me want to spit fire, this was with yahoo. Bad communication and instructions.

I had to do that part too, changing the domain name registrar, which yeah, was with yahoo and yeah no directions! I totally cannot believe the total lack of direction and explanation! I’m putting together a “how to” post. The first host was with hostgator, not only no direction, no customer service. It took them 2 days to return a trouble ticket! Anyway, I switched yet again to JustHost and they are awesome and I love it, really easy.

Hey I tried to subcribe via email and it won’t let me. I also clicked subcribe via RSS and it worked, but I couldn’t get back to the main page without hitting the back button. But I was able to read the blogs and click on your wonderful ads anyway…

Welcome Back! I’ve missed your posts! Changing servers can be a nightmare, such a pity that you had a hard time, it sucks when technology backfires! Hope it goes well for you from now on! Can’t wait to see your new posts!

Thanks, it’s good to be back. The new server changed my url somewhat so all my feedburner subscribers are gone. According to feedburner, my subscribers will need to resubscribe! Where is the technology here! Sounds like ANOTHER post!
