Everyone Loves Me

Most likely not. I know, that is a shock and surprise!

You may basically be a “loveable”, pleasant and agreeable person and generally get along well with most people. But somehow, there is that one family member, that one acquaintance, that one club member, who doesn’t quite click with you very well.

Don’t allow this to disappoint or sadden you.

You can’t think that every single person is going to be your best friend. Everyone is unique. I am sure there are certain people you are not most fond of. There might even be some people you try to avoid. I know I can say that! Every single relationship is diverse and distinct. Think about your different relationships with different people.

I have three daughters and I have a unique relationship with each one because each one is unique. One loves to shop, one kind of likes to shop and the other one, not so much. They each have their own interests and hobbies.

You can’t make some one like you. If you try to change yourself or adjust your personal qualities to attract other people to “make” them like you, it could have adverse consequences. There could be a chance that you will adversely affect your current relationships. Is it worth it to compromise yourself? After all, you can’t be phony for any length of time. As my husband says “Eventually, the real you will come out!”

Keep a positive attitude. Concentrate on your successful relationships. Nurture your friendships and be grateful for the quality of your current connections. At the same time, accept that there will be some people that you won’t be able to cultivate a relationship with. Whatever you say or do, whoever you are, whatever character or personality you have, be you and only you. That is most important.

Thanks for this! There are a couple of people in my life that I don’t get on well with at all, mainly family, and I always end up stressing myself because of it. I should just accept the fact that they don’t like me and let them deal with it, not me.

I always wanted everyone to like me, if they didn’t, I wanted to fix it. It’s not me or us that need fixin, it’s their own problem.

It’s too much work trying to be someone else and it’s SO EASY being yourself, it just comes naturally!

    Have a great time tonite!

Great advice! I think this is something a lot of people struggle with, as we all want to be liked. From a blogger’s standpoint, sometimes it can be tough when there’s traffic to your blog, but it isn’t sticky traffic. Especially, when you pour so much of yourself into blogging efforts. However, it’s important to remember, as you suggested, stay positive and focus on those bloggers who do keep returning. Thanks for posting this!

It’s hard to remember that you really need to be you.

In Blogging – Sometimes it can be very discouraging and you feel like you are “talking” to yourself, but I hold on to the positive thought that someday it will come together and I will get my big break. In the mean time, I will just practice and get better!

    Hi BloggerNewbie,
I went to the ball last night and was just myself, wasn’t trying to impress anyone, but ended up impressing them anyway! Got a few new clients and my picture in the paper just by being myself, thanks!

  6. Totally the best way to go! Everyone can spot a fake a mile away, and stay a mile away. I am so happy for you and now I can say I know a celebrity! :)

I am going to a “hoop te doo ” party tonite too…I’m going in support of my sister-in-law who is the president of our local rotary club and the dinner is at the country club. I used to be a member of the country club when I had time to golf! so I should know most people there! I will just be myself so it will have to be fun!
