This is a RED alert! for all those who suffer from Stress! Breaking news regarding how to lessen your symptoms.
R – Rest: Yes, you really need to get your rest. You will be amazed at the difference rest will make in your body, mind and spirit. You need to do whatever it takes to get enough sleep. What is enough? That is as individual as how much can or should you eat.
Your body will feel “lighter” when you are well rested. You won’t have to drag yourself around or consciously put one foot in front of the other. Forcing yourself to move is not a great way to start your day.
Your mind will thank you for getting enough rest. You will have better concentration, clearer thoughts and the ability to focus.
Your spirit will affect your whole day. A positive attitude will show up in all your activities and encounters through out the day. For the love of you – get plenty of rest!

E – Exercise: I am one of those weird people who actually likes to exercise. Of course the key is the type of exercise. I do not like calisthenics or aerobics or any other “hard” exercises. I love to walk. That is my favorite form of exercise. I play golf, swim, bike, and one of my other favorites – yard work. Yes, I derive great pleasure and satisfaction from the accomplishment of an outstanding looking yard. And I feel SO GOOD when I exercise! I know, sometimes it takes some self-convincing to actually start the exercise, but do it, you’ll be glad you did.

D – Diet: No, I am not going to suggest going on a diet. We all have enough stress without adding to it. But it is worth discussing your daily diet and nutrition. I am sure you have heard it all. You really need to eat at least three meals a day. Try to make those meals somewhat balanced and nutritional. I can’t stress the importance of hydration. Just drink water, it’s good and good for you. Again, you will really feel the difference.
Are you up for a challenge? How about a 2 week challenge? Really focus on the RED alert! tips for two weeks and see how well you feel. I promise you, it will be a change you can get accustomed to!
I am going to take a poll in a couple of weeks to check out everyone’s tips and routines. Make sure you come back and participate.

all very good tips BN. i’ve been trying to figure out what rest is. when i go to bed early i wake up tired, when i go to be later, i can wake up easy. seems like i should alternate between early and late.
my diet needs tweeking and my exercise should be able to resume since my sciatic nerve seems to feel better.
Good Morning Natural! I agree with the rest dilemma, apparently it’s quality, not quantity? now how do you get the quality? My daughter was in a car accident in April and has problems with her sciatic nerve. I know somedays it’s hard for her to move much. Glad to hear you are feeling better.
